Kenyan Style Chai

As any short term missionary knows, you’ve got to bring back a recipe. This is mine, updated for those of us that don’t do sugar, and just a hint of vanilla.

8 cups Milk (whole is preferable)
2 teaspoons pure Vanilla extract
3/4 cup Splenda or Nevella
8 bags Black Tea

In a large pan mix the milk, vanilla, and sweetener of choice. Set the stove to medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer. Drop in the tea bags and keep simmering for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently. When you’re happy with the strength of the chai, turn off the stove and serve piping hot. For cold chai, either refrigerate or pour over ice. Enjoy!
