Beauty
iaian7 » blog » poetry John Einselen, 11.10.04The painful longing of a melancholic life
the fullness, but seeking of
something that doesn’t fill
why search when the answer is known
The ache of every blade of grass
freely blown by wind
blinded by the gypsy cloud
disowns the suns caress
The fury of the gossamer
laden fully gown
why struggle against the cruel crown
of flitting beauty unseen
The one disowns for the longing
of seconds different song
the twist of mortal sight
is only of its sightlessness
The blind are only leading
the ones who should not see
only those around
but Him beyond the sea

Shining water
iaian7 » blog » poetry John Einselen, 11.10.04When I see the wind ruffle
the shining waters face
its tears glistening
as my own
grace a vacant face
Emptiness is only matched
by the solemn sky
the cold rain
a cold life
and drizzle – in and out
Wind wanders through the grasses
mind follows in return
the endless sighs
echoed ever
through the ageless eve
(incomplete, but continued)
Wanderer both we are
the flitting cloud and I
seeking
and seeking
the place to find
None go there and come back
save for those that change
seeking
they found
Another in their place

Dance
iaian7 » blog » poetry John Einselen, 11.10.04Dance to the silent wind
the rustling of the leaves
my feet
shuffling, sliding
all across the eaves
Dance down the ghostly streets
the flutter of a bird
my mind
whirling, still
to the silent dirge
Dance in the moon’s sad light
amongst the whispering stream
my soul
longing, reaching
in another’s dream
