Expressions and Scripts
MotionScript.com – brilliantly explains expressions and how to use them for various practical effects. Some scripting as well.
CRgreen.com – very nice collection of scripts.
Redefinery.com – another collection of scripts.
Plugins
AE Flame – freeware fractal renderer, can make some awesome textural designs.
Sapphire – I’ll admit I don’t have this plugin collection yet. But they look good.
Red Giant – this is where you can get the legendary Knoll Lightworks, among other plugins. They share a partnership with Trapcode.
Trapcode – great plugins, including Particular and Shine; some of my all-time favorites.
